I love what I do and do what I love.
A Chicago-area native and a Knoxville transplant, I am driven by a strong work ethic and desire to get things done. But for me, a job isn’t just work, because I truly love what I do.
I am a creative through and through. I always have to be doing something to feed my urge to create, and because of this I have dabbled in poetry, painting, arts and crafts, sewing, jewelry-making, costume creation, photography, graphic design, and blogging. Creating isn’t just my passion, but it’s how I make my living, which means I get to live my dream job day in and day out, no matter where I work.
Behind all that fun is a hard-working, loyal employee.
Because I love what I do, I’m able to quickly become passionate about my job and the company I work for. For me, work isn’t work, and I never have a problem putting in extra time to make sure a project is completed perfectly and by the deadline. I pride myself on solid work, a strong understanding of the importance of adhering to a brand, and being the quiet-but-friendly employee who’s just as comfortable working with headphones on as she is chatting at the coffee pot.
I am an INFJ-A.
Supposedly a rare personality type, INFJ-A stands for Introversion (I), Intuition (N), Feeling (F), Judgment (J), and Assertive (A). For a full write-up of this personality type, you can fall into the wormhole here.
If you’re curious what I’m like at work, this is a pretty accurate description. I’m much happier when given the freedom to do my job, do it well, and do it on my own time as deadlines allow. Strict rules, rigid start-and-end-time schedules, and micromanagers tend to stifle me and make me unhappy. I don’t take criticism personally, and thrive when it’s obvious my efforts are appreciated, or even acknowledged. At the same time, my strong work ethic and need for perfection mean I tend to hold my coworkers and team members to the same standards I hold myself, for better or worse.
I’m passionate about more than just creating.
I’m an animal-lover and proud dog mom to rescue mutt Trixie. I also have quite the shoe collection, which fits into my extensive wardrobe. As a style lover and former blogger, I love to express myself through what I wear and how I look, and I have experimented with nearly every hair cu and color and cut you can imagine (and maybe even some you can’t). I love to laugh, and try not to take myself too seriously. Life is here to be enjoyed, just like good food, time with friends and family, and winters. Just kidding; I strongly dislike winter.
